Many Americans today are familiar with Apple products, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Apple computer. Americans are not only familiar with these products but these devices have became engraved into everyday life, making it hard to remember what it was like before them. This step in the world’s advanced growth in technology is largely credited to the visionary who started the Apple company, Steve Jobs. His love for technology forever changed the world with his revolutionary innovations, groundbreaking developments and his credits into todays most profitable company. He then went on to school to earn his bachelors in engineering and made a career as a rock-festival promoter. He briefly returned to Apple, he ultimately became a grade-school computer teacher administrator (Dunns). And for Steve, he was fired from Apple in 1985 boardroom coup led by John Sculley. He was the man Jobs had hired himself to be the CEO of Apple. “ He was just a terrible manager and a terrible executive, at that point in time I never thought that he could be a CEO.” Says Trip Hawkins, the marketing director of Apple until 1982. But Steve was still driven to make computer vehicles for creativity. So after he left Apple in 1985, he purchased a little-known division of Lucasfilm and renamed it Pixar. Pixar released the first animated film to be ever be done entirely on computers. That film was Toy Story, other followed such as Monsters Inc., The Incredibles and Finding Nemo (Sydell). This marked the beginning of a box office run so successful that Jobs was able to sell the company to Disney in 2006 for $7.4 billion in stock. This made him the largest single shareholder in the world’s dominant media conglomerate or mixture (Newman). Jobs brought entertainment to a whole new level, with computer-animated features.
