The Industrial Revolution was a period in American history where there was a clear growth and progress. It helped and improved the lives of man by changing their way of life and making them modernized. This was a progress. A good definition of the word progress would be, improvement from one point of time to another. When we go through the American Industrial Revolution, we see that progress was definitely beneficial to the lives of many Americans. Some of the ways it helped the lives of the people was by improving their way of life, their homes, clothes, etc; many inventions and innovations, for example, assembly lines which helped both the business owners and the workers and by also urbanizing the country.
Charles Knight states that the
