How was the Aztecs lifestyle altered because of the Spanish? The Spanish Conquest in Mexico over the Aztecs in the year 1521 resulted in the victory of the Spanish. This was a huge time of change in the Aztecs’ lifestyle. In this time, changes in nearly every aspect of the Aztecs’ life occured.
While comparing the Aztec and Renaissance worldviews they both have similar yet different opinions. The Aztec culture was very isolated and unaware of other cultures causing them to be placed on the self determination side of the view of human nature continuum. Due to them being so isolated they had to make their own decisions with the help of their Aztec Gods. The culture had many different gods which made them have their own view on life which was different comparing it to other cultures around them.
The Aztec's lifestyle changed due to Spain's harsh conquering, which caused many Aztec people illness, Spain also changed the entire economy and the Aztecs had to adjust to a new hierarchy. The Aztec lifestyle included specific religious practices, strict laws and many other innovative ways of life. Whereas Spain had very different beliefs and traditions. During the exploration of the new world, Europe killed lots of people in the name of finding gold and/or land. They built cities in the name of their country. The belief of appeasement meant that the Aztecs would utilize religion to make people act in certain ways, which, allowed those in charge great power.
