Even though the Columbian Exchange did accelerate the trade of slaves, it introduced an important aspect in life during the 1600’s all the way up to today. It provided foods that would be otherwise inaccessible, and contributed to culture in the Americas. The Columbian Exchange was the best event in history due to its influence in globalization and Old World advancement. The first example of globalization is found during the Columbian Exchange. It made trade easier throughout the known world.
The Age of Exploration was a time of great expansion in the European Countries. From Africa, to North and South America, the Spanish, Dutch, English and French were all competing to find new trade routes, new commodities, and new areas to convert to their religion. The Age of Exploration had a tremendous impact on Europe, the Americas, and Africa. On one hand, Europe was able to expand widely across the world spreading their culture. On the other hand, the Americas were discovered and had their original culture changed immensely.
The Columbian Exchange (also known as The Great Exchange) was the exchange of numerous foods, animals, cultures, and even technology; having the biggest impact on the whole country. Native Americans and African Americans experienced a majority of the negatives of the exchange, while the Europeans started a new life. Establishing ownership of land and people, causing poverty over time. Also having a dramatic effect on the population as the two worlds began to collide. Like so, the Columbian exchange shaped and formed the society we have today.

The Columbus exchange is known to be one of the most significant events in history. It is was a period of cultural and biological exchanges between the New and Old Worlds. The exchange of plants, animal, disease, movement of people (including slaves), and technology amongst the Western and Eastern hemisphere, impact a great impact on both worlds. Though the contributions between the worlds advanced in various aspects, it also brought destruction and the unnecessary.
Throughout history, civilizations and nations have relentlessly competed to surpass one another. This is evident in the Age of Exploration in which explorers, such as Christopher Columbus, Vasco da Gama, Bartolomeu Dias, Prince Henry the Navigator, among many others, explored new lands and established overseas colonies for their respective mother countries. In these colonies, the Europeans converted the natives to Christianity, searched for gold and precious metals, and brought fame and glory to their countries. The goals of “God, gold, and glory” became a significant part of the Age of Exploration. Although the “three G’s” stimulated competition across the European states, the underlying push was by the Ottomans.
There are a few life-changing events that change the course of history. One of these such events was the Columbian Exchange which was the transfer of plants, animals, and people between the Americas and the Old World. This began when Columbus landed in America. This one event had many lasting effects, including the spread of diseases to the new world, enslavement of Africans for labor, and economic opportunity with the massive increase in silver. Columbus accidently started the Columbian exchange by discovering America while looking for economic opportunity.
New technologies, Different religions, and different lifestyle techniques caused tensions between the European Explorers and the American Indians, which often lead to war and enslavement. However, forming trading systems and slowly absorbing one another 's language allowed for a short time of safer coexistence between both peoples. Disease played a critical factor in the adaptation of the two groups as well striking fear in the Indians while giving Europeans a sense of empowerment. Around this time period, Europeans were experiencing a Renaissance, which produced several new technologies and ideologies. Advanced ships, precise maps, and the compass allowed the Europeans to begin exploring around the world, initiating the age of exploration.
The improvement in naval technology such as square and triangular ships and sails, the knowledge of wind and currents, the volta do mar, and more facilitated and supported the increased interaction in the Post-Classical era. With the increase in technology in exploration, voyages were being made from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic and from the Atlantic to the Pacific. These voyages led to an increase in trade and conflict, the spread of disease pathogens, the spread of agricultural products, and more. Southernization is the term for the diffusion of culture and technology and describes the phenomena above. Such culture and technology include the spread of Christianity, Islam, sugar, navigational technology, and more.
The Age of Exploration changed many things and had an impact on things economically, socially, and politically. Such economical changes was multinational trading companies that were given monopoly rights. Monopoly rights is a privilege that grants authority to a person or company to exclude other people from selling, using, or even producing an item. For example, British and Dutch trading companies were given this privilege. Social impacts were mobility for traders, merchants, and soldiers.

However, the Europeans did not just discover this lands, but also made use of them and the native population. The causes of the Age of Exploration were “God, Gold and Glory” which effects were the expansion of Christianity, importation of precious resources into Europe and colonization of new lands. Age of Exploration Research After the Renaissance there was a new found interest in education and knowledge. People moved away from the churches ideas and started to focus on science and that is how the Age of Exploration began. Because of this knowledge people had, they wanted to begin exploring. They knew that the world wasn’t flat and so countries would hire explores to go out to sea and find land and resources. While those people on the ships had a job, they also had disease, poor working conditions, and not a lot of money.
During the colonization era many “old world” empires were coming to what is now known as the united states to expanded their nations and find more resources for the wealthy class. They found that there was lots of different resources they could use for different reasons like, animals for fur and food, many trees to use to build house and a ton of open land to own. This brought more and more people over to the United States to also be apart of this new world. They soon realized that they needed to find easier ways to use these resources. This started the scientific revolution, people began to study and explore the environment to see what they could use and how, this brought about new modern ideas and inventions to make using the land eaiser.
