It was quite an accomplishment for the Women's suffrage movement as well being that a woman was their leader. She would come to admire and eventually befriend Lucretia Mott at the Seneca Falls convention were Stanton would present her Declaration of Sentiments. The woman suffrage movement created many issues throughout history. The first cause of this movement was in 1848. This was when the first woman's rights convention was held in new york. This was when the whole movement began, women marching for what they think is unfair. A huge influencer of the suffrage movement was Susan B Anthony.
Women's Suffrage was also considered to be one of the most important social and economical movements at it's inception. The movement brought about the right to vote for women not to mention the creation of new business opportunities and advancement in a field mostly dominated by men at the time. With women's right to vote, the economy underwent a drastic improvement with regards to the creation of new jobs which led to an increase in production thus stimulating the American economy
Anthony knew that women should have been given this right long ago, which prompted her and the others to begin a woman suffrage movement. Anthony and her good friend Stanton founded the American Equal Rights Association in 1866. However, the movement split and rejoined in 1887, creating the National American Woman Suffrage Association. Anthony went to Congress and pleaded with them to change their mind on whether women were worthy enough to vote. Not only did she advocate for the right to vote, but the property rights of women as well.
Without her contributions, women would not have the equal rights or opportunities we have today. The women’s suffrage movement started in 1848 to gain equal rights for women in several areas including voting, education, and pay. Anthony got involved in 1852 after meeting Elizabeth Cady Stanton and became dedicated to the cause. The first national convention for women’s right was on July 19, 1848.
Women have always wanted equal rights and fought to gain equality. On August 1920 the 19th amendment was ratified into the Constitution. The 19th amendment stated that no one will be denied the right to vote based on your sex. This changed everything for the women in the US. Women everywhere started to work more and started to rely less on men.
The 1800’s-1920’s was one of the amazing turning points in history. Women had no self-representation other than from their fathers and or husbands . This turning point helps with social rights that have led woman to be the woman they are today . Susan B Anthony (died in 1906) affected society by making it possible for women to actually be thought of as real people and to be able to play a role in the development in our nation . She was significant by; being a key figure in woman getting the right to vote , forming the National Woman Suffrage Association , and serving on the business committee and speaking on women’s rights .
Many of the rights we are given today are because of the various reform movements that took place in the mid-1800s. Some of these reform movements are the women’s suffrage movement, the abolition of slavery, the prison reform, and the educational reform. The Seneca Falls Convention, which was organized by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, and the Declaration of Sentiments, began the women’s rights movement. Women gained their right to vote through the 19th Amendment which was passed by congress and ratified in 1920.
Women would no longer be looked upon as the lesser half, they wanted to be seen just as capable as men. So they fought for their right starting in 1848. This movement took years, to be exact 72 years. These women had some persistence to stay with their battle no matter how tough it was. The first part in winning women's suffrage was the parades and protests.
1920’s: Women’s Suffrage Alice Paul once said; “There will never be a new world order until woman are part of it.” In this quote the women’s right leader refers to how women are important to society. Society need women because of their capacity in a smartest way to take decisions.
Shortly after, women got the right to vote in provincial elections in P.E.I. and also married women in Alberta the same legal capacity as men. Finally in 1929 women are appointed as a person like men, this being the most significant of events. The movement has made us better than before in making humans civil.

Although those influential leaders faced hardship during this movement, they never gave up and kept trying their best. This movement was occurred in New York that has a huge impact on the whole United States.

Anthony and they pronounced an alliance on working together to be women’s rights activists. Stanton and Anthony created the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA) in 1869. This association opposes the 15th amendment because it excludes women and this association puts its efforts toward trying to change the federal law. Susan B Anthony’s impact on this association is that she was the leader.
The women of this movement were fighting for something they believed they deserve. Because of the Seneca Falls Convention and the Declaration of Sentiments and Resolution, women were able to express their own opinions. The women’s rights movement led to many different events, impacted other countries, and created a new amendment.
