World War 1 had a heavy impact on Australian society, but more specifically the way Australian women were perceived. The way the women worked, dressed and were treated were all challenged. World War 1 was seen as a defining moment in history for Australian women and the feminist movement. When war broke out in Australia for the first time, the majority of women did not have paying jobs. Their role in the house was to be a homemaker and care for the children.
World War I was a big moment for America, a time when an nation involved itself in world affairs and began the rise to the economic and military power that America is today. The people of America were affected by world war one in many ways. They were first limited to what they could buy including sugar so that they can provide rations for countries. Full freedom for colored people was a problem in other words there were second class citizens. Finally we went into an everlasting chain of fighting were all these countries were fighting and sticking up for each other and it was just a huge big fight that america didn't need to get involved in.

Men fought side by side becoming brothers while the women back at home, grew their independents knowing they could do what men do such as: Work in fields and Factories. Not only did the women change, but also there were economic change that had to be maintaining a war footing. Also white male’s change their opinions about African American during the World War I. World War I had such an impact on: Women, economic change, and African Americans change the United States for the better.
When talking about war, there are many books with few answers to what war truly is. Barbara Ehrenreich brings forth not only the possibilities towards understanding war but also the passion people from history have had towards it. One key issue she brings to light is humanities love for war, so much so that people would use excuses like holy wars to justify their need to fight in a war. She declares that war is as muddled as the issue of diseases and where diseases came from around 200 years ago. More so than that she even goes further on to state that these rituals that date back to prehistoric times are the cause of human nature during times of war rather than human instinct.

Total War required all members of society to contribute and take on jobs of much significance that had lasting effects on culture. This essay discusses three ways in which World War I impacted American society and three circumstances that led to the shift in the American position regarding entrance into World War I. World War I brought economic prosperity to America due to increased demand for American goods by European countries.
There are countless social effects of World War I in France and Great Britain and the ordinary people lived in various ways during and after the war. France and Great Britain–during the war–were both allies who were against the central powers of Germany, Bulgaria, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire, which is now [present-day] Turkey. Adding to this, the brutal war in both of these countries, changed the way individuals lived compared to during the war and it phased numerous social effects that had a lasting impact in these two countries which furthermore, influenced Europe [as a whole]. According to the Article, “Immigrant Workers in France during World War I” it states, “[Even though] the changes in both of these countries had similarities and differences, but they both provided these countries with a boost in modernization” (Horne 8). During this time, however, there were millions of individuals and men that lost their homes and had to migrate to a different part of the continent or even a different part of the world.
World War I brought many changes to society and to foreign policy. For example, women were at work when men were out fighting the war. Germany did many things to make the USA to enter the war after being threaten by Germany. In World War I we were very isolated to other countries. I will be talking about these three topics today.
