The years of the 1930s were impactful for The United States forever. The Great Depression was the primary culprit of the change. During this time the economy hit an all time low and people were left with no, food, money, or hope. The decade impacted society in a negative way by leaving everybody poor. It both harmed and helped society when president Franklin Delano Roosevelt came into presidency. The 1930’s were very important due to in that decade lots of things happened to negatively impact the country but we came out of the dust.

first, nobody had any clue about anything happening in the first place, nobody could have prevented it but they could have helped people by getting the word out to people. Secondly, the president at the time, Herbert Hoover, had a very slow response to the economic downfall. He thought that it was not the job of the federal government to take care of the situation therefore, making it worse. However, There are some good things to come out of the 1930s. For one, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected into office with his primary motive being to recover the country out of the crisis. With determination and the hearts of millions of people on his mind he did, President FDR created what is known as Social Security. Social Security was used at a place to keep money safe and for individual citizens and businesses alike. This system would prevent another economic disaster from ever occurring again.
