The constitution was a large process and is the “Supreme Law of the Land.” There was a separation of powers when the constitution was being created which resulted in the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches of government. During this time there was a meeting called the constitutional convention, where twelve of the thirteen colonies showed up.
