Kennedy Nye Mrs. Thomas Honors English 3 January 2017 The Ku Klux Klan The Ku Klux Klan had an immense impact on society and culture of the 60s and today. They caused fear and death to be normal. Even though they generally only attacked blacks and republicans, the fear and uncertainty they caused effected everyone. The KKK was a very inhumane terrorist white supremacy group. Sadly, they are still an active, relevant group today. The infamous terrorist organization came from the Confederate soldiers. Over time, the Confederates evolved into a terrorist group. This white supremacy group caused a lot of fear in society, and for good reason. They killed and tortured many people and showed no mercy to those who were taken under their power.
