The sun rises in the east and light shines over America and it's vast nine regions that include the Navajos in the southwest, the Comanches in the great plains and the Cherokees in the southeast. The first tribe I will be talking about is the Navajo tribe. The Navajos are a native American tribe located in the Southwest region. They are one of the tribes that mastered the skill and art of farming. The Navajos grew plants like corn, beans, squash, and cotton. The Navajos grew cotton so they could make woven items like blankets; the Navajo would then trade the woven items to get things like bison meat, and other things that could be used to make tools or weapons. They had every different houses than many other tribes like the Comanches.The Navajos made homes made of sticks, mud and tree bark called hogans whereas the Comanches made homes called teepees. The second tribe is the Comanche tribe. The Comanches live in the Great Plains region. The Comanches; like the Navajos hunt animals for food. The Comanches hunt mainly buffo and move their homes around to stalk, track, and hunt the migrating buffalo herds. The Cherokee's unlike both the Navajos and the Comanches the Cherokee live settled villages typically located near rivers. These villages were composed of houses as strong as log cabins, a ball field, and seven-sided ceremonial buildings all surrounded by a reinforced wall for protection.The Cherokee; like the Navajo farmed most of their food they grew plants such as corn, beans squash, and sunflowers. The men hunted game like wild turkeys, deer and small game they also like almost every tribe with a nearby water source fished for food.
