The Nile River brought the Ancient Egyptians a lot of success as an ancient civilization. The Nile River was a great place to settle. It had water for farming and many other great things that helped the ancient civilization. The Nile River affected the Ancient Egyptians’ agriculture, food sources, innovations, and religious practices.
The Nile River impacted Egypt’s agriculture in many ways. Egyptian life started based on the floods of the Nile River to bring them water for farming crops. The Life on the Nile River states, “Egyptian life began depending on the floods of the Nile River to bring them water for farming crops.” Egyptian farmers used the fertile soil from the Nile River to improve agriculture in Ancient Egypt. They grew crops like wheat, barley, and flax. Equally important, farmers from Ancient Egypt grew crops like flax to make cloth called linen. The Life on the Nile River states, “linen was a white cloth that was lighter than cotton used to make clothing.” The Egyptians wore linen that kept them cool. To summarize, the Nile River was the key to the Ancient Egyptians’ farming success.

The Nile River provided various kinds of food such as fish and water for drinking and farming. In The Life on the Nile River the author states, “It provided water for drinking, fish for food, and water for farming.” The Nile River provided really important food sources such as seafood to eat and water for caring for animals and crops. In The Life on the Nile River the author states, “Egyptians would mix wheat, yeast, and water to make bread. Bread was very important to the Egyptians because they had mass amounts of wheat to bake bread. Altogether, the Nile River was very important to the Egyptians' food
