The American Revolution was one of the most important wars that was fought in the history of the United States. The Patriots and the British had two different views on how things should be run in America. Many people have different opinions on why, where and how the war was started. There were a few key battles that helped to influence the outcome of the war. The outcome of the American Revolutionary War influenced the United States way of Freedom and the way the American people live today.
Before the war, America’s trade and economy was terribly handicapped due to both France and Britain not allowing trading with the opposing nation. Politically, the U.S. Congress was referred to as the “War Congress” and certain members were known as “War Hawks”. Those that supported the war were primarily Republicans including President James Madison, although there was some division within that party and the Federalists were opposed to the war. Most people in New England were Federalists and their Congressmen argued that the war would threaten their seaports and livelihood. There were social impacts as well.
More than any other occurrence in American history, the Civil War had a profound impact on every individual and organization. Hundreds of thousands of young Americans lost their lives in battles supporting or opposing Southern states' attempts to leave the Union and maintain a slave-based economy. During the Revolution, thousands of slaves obtained their freedom by running away. Around by the 1790s, however, the slave population was growing again and was beginning to spread into new lands in what would become the cotton belt. Inspired by the natural rights of the Revolution, free blacks moved against slavery. They petitioned Congress to end the slave trade and state legislatures to abolish slavery.
The Revolutionary War has been a war that most people do not acknowledged but has had a great and significant effect on the entire world today. In fact, it would nearly be impossible to imagine the world today without thinking of the us. The revolutionary war was fought between Great Britain and new England (U.S.A). New England wanted to break away from Britain because after the French and idea war new England as lest to pay for the cost of the war. Things got worse when Britain began to tax new England without any representation.
The biggest dramatic change that was caused by the war was that we got our political independence for England. There were really no economic or social changes that came from fighting this war, if anything the only other changes were negative economic changes. The American Revolution was a war fought by American colonies to gain independence from the British control. The American Revolution was caused by a series of events. It all started with the French and Indian War in 1754. At the end of the war, King George III issued the proclamation of 1763 which prohibited colonists to settle beyond the Appalachian Mountains, many colonists took great offense at this order. The war between Britain and France caused Britain to be deeply in debt and demanded tax from the colonies.
Thus, the effects of the war resulted in a very commemorated event. Speeches were made that fuelled the nations’ sense of freedom and now, it is what defines this very nation. The consequences would be that at first the newly freed slaves wouldn’t have a place to go, because they never had no money and they didn’t have all their rights yet. War is a state of armed conflict that most countries have gone through or are currently going through. The United States has had their fair share of experience with war. Two of the most notable wars that the United States has experienced are the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War. In the Revolutionary War the United States gained independence from Great Britain. In the Civil War America faced an internal battle between the North (Union) and the South (Confederates).
A revolution is a large-scale rebellion with the intent to change or get rid of the current political system. The American Revolution was a fight to be free from British rule. People were tired of being controlled. The colonists of America wanted to create their own government where they could get what they left Europe for. While some may argue that the American Revolution did not change life for minorities, the American Revolution changed the political, economic, and social atmosphere and set the stage for future change.
The civil war had a very profound effect on America and what it has become today. With the civil war many changes took place such as 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment. Women’s rights were put forth into motion. Along with Reconstruction laws being passes and the push back that these laws caused. During this time the south became even more divided and started to take things into account and create their own laws in regards to racism.
For two centuries, the colonist lived under British ruled with no problem. Eventually the British began changing how the colonist were living. So they decided to fight back. There was a lot of events that lead up to the American Revolutionary war but the main event that happened was Taxation without Representation. This event also led further into The Boston Tea Party.
Impact of American Revolution through time Almost all aspects of the lives of Americans were somehow affected by the spirit of the American Revolution. The attitudes of American people towards religious life, women’s rights, voting and slavery were changed forever because of it. There was a drastic change in social and political life after independence.
