1. The Spanish Armada's plan was to take over the churches of England that was lead by Queen Elizabeth I. The Spanish were so determined that they sent in 130 ships to invade England. Since there was so much England trespassing into the Spanish Netherlands and privateering Spanish ships, the Spanish decided to do something about the Protestantism in England. The Spanish Armada decided not to attack England and their Dutch allies’ immediately, so the Spanish just waited for the right moment to attack when the English and the Dutch prepared a fireship attack from behind the Spanish fleet. Unfortunately, the Spanish Armada lost too many ships to be able to fight, so they had to return to Spain. So the English and their Dutch allies won the battle.

When Philip II took control of Spain, Spain went bankrupted in a madder of years. One of Philips mistakes was making too many policies because each policy costed a lot of money for Spain. Philip also relied on taxes too much during 1561-1598. Even though Spain made a lot of money from the taxes, the Spanish economy dropped hard. This caused the economy trouble because everything was increased in price including peasantry. The price of food and goods increased so much that the farms in Spain were over producing because people were barely buying food at the time. Spain's economy fell into a major decline and was permanently affected after Philip II's reign.
3. Louis XIV had power because he had the power of the church and the government combined. He increased the wealth of his cities while decreasing the wealth of the nobles eventually making his country bankrupt while he was extremely wealthy. Since he was put into office at a very young age, people believed that Louis XIV was God given to France.
