On April 14, 1912 there was a huge disaster that changed the world forever. This disaster showed regular people, governments, and shipbuilding industries the importance of safety and how strong the force of nature can really be. People all around the world began to feel uneasy and lost all trust and faith in the government. After this, everyone was scared something terrible would happen again. It has been over a century since the extremely tragic disaster of the RMS (Royal Mail Ship Titanic crashing into a huge iceberg on April 14, 1912, killing thousands of people on board. There were people from all over the world on the ship. What seemed like the safest trip from Southampton, United Kingdom to New York City, United States, became one of the most tragic catastrophes in history, being one of the first global disasters for mankind. …show more content…

The famous ship began sailing from Southampton, United Kingdom to New York City, United States and tragically hit an extremely big and dangerous iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14, the liner of the ship went down first as the stern began to rise, the it broke and the front went crashing two miles into the ocean after sideswiping the iceberg, causing the entire ship to sink. The Titanic officially sank in the North Atlantic Ocean, early in the morning on April 15th, not completing the journey. There was another ship in the ocean that night called the Californian.
