The Weimar Republic got off to a bad start between 1918 and 1923 as it was Germany’s first attempt to democracy. Weimer Republic weak start is due to the lack of experience Germans had with a democratic party. The people of Germany were familiar with an autocratic and totalitarian government; therefore it was difficult for them to comprehend the relatively slow process of the democratic government workings.
