By the same token, Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla invented the future of electricity. They had a particular and controversial way in how to develop their brilliant discoveries. Tomas Edison, at the end of the 19th century, was recognized for his peculiar way of transmitting electric current: It was called direct current or recognized by its acronym D.C. At the same time Nikola Tesla, who was a young man, thought of a more feasible and less expensive way of conducting electricity: the alternating current. Edison believed that the power of the current invented by Tesla could not be controlled and for this reason he categorized it as dangerous to humans. It was here when Tesla showed the solution. He explained to all individuals that he could put into practice a device called transformer, which would reduce the power and thus rule out its strength. Tesla, who was focused on his carrier, was concerned about the paradigm that the community had about him; relying on an inventor with no experience or reputation. On the other hand, Thomas Edison was already recognized and people relied on him, even knowing that the current type was not efficient. For this purpose, Nikola wanted to make the community understand that his inventions were based on satisfying the needs of the human being.
