Thomas Jefferson & Slavery
Thomas Jefferson was born on 1743 and he died 1826. He was the third President of the United States. He was also one the most influential slaveholders who hoped to free the slaves and colonies Africa. Jefferson was so influential because he emphasized the convictions and the minds and hearts of people. () He mentioned that the main object of science and freedom and happiness of men. () Although, Thomas Jefferson who initiated the declaration of independence and who favored the rights and freedom of liberty, he did not practice his beliefs in order to implement them, because he still consistently practices the beliefs and doctrine of slavery.
