In Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court,even though Hanks plan to reform Communication causes the people of camelot to be not as well developed, it overall benefits the people of camelot in their ways of transportation and information. The Newspaper and Mapping both helped benefit the people of Camelot more than hurting them. The Newspaper allowed the people to keep up to date with what was happening in the kingdom. Even though it made the people less interactive by not going out and talking to people it still improved their ways of communication. As said on page 88 “A newspaper has it’s faults, and plenty of them, but no matter, it’s hark from the tomb of a dead nation, and don't you forget it.” This is explaining how it helped the “dead nation” of Camelot come to life with the newspaper by giving the people something to hear about their town, for them to be interested in. …show more content…

It also helped them with figuring out where to place other communication such as telephone wires. Since the Camelot people did not have a map they were more likely to get lost or travel in the wrong direction, nor did they know where anything was in the kingdom due to coming on the a castle or hidden village by mistake and not remembering how they got there.
