Walt Elias Disney, an ordinary man, changed the face of american entertainment by creating an alternative reality; much different than the one he was living in. Before the success of the Walt Disney company, Walt had suffered from many difficult and burdensome tragedies. Some in which involved being put to work by his father at an young age, which resulted him not being able keep any of the money in which he earned as a newspaper boy. Reflecting back at the time when worked as a newspaper boy, he remembers, ““I don’t regret having worked like I’ve worked…I can’t even remember that it ever bothered me. I mean, I have no recollection of ever being unhappy in my life. I look back and I worked from way back there and I was happy all the time. I was excited. I was doing things”. With the burden Walt father placed on him on a young age, sparked his curiosity of trying and exploring new things. While this played a role in his achievements of making it big, the abusive relationship with his father before struggling with the sudden, accidental death of his mother, added onto his list of tragedies he endured during his early life. Although the loss of his mother, was quite devastating, there were often many failures and mistakes that followed one which included the incident where he thought he had a successful run with one of his creations, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Unfortunately, the copyrights of his creation was stolen from him, along with the organization and all the artists that worked for him. Walt himself was not only cheated or at the very least deceived, he was taken advantage of during the start of his career. As shocking as it was, this experience had taught him to keep trying and to never give up. Walt, a man never set to rest, never settled with his first success in film and animation but instead,he pushed past the limits of what was considered possible, enabling him to keep moving forward despite the overwhelming
