For anyone with a cultural bone in their body, Greece does not fail to inspire. The culture of Greece has developed from 2100 BC, when the first Greeks settled in their soon to be empire. They started the rich history of Greece. Not only is there rich history, there are also monumental temples, churches, and libraries. In addition, there are also a plethora of intricate handmade pottery, folk music, and statues of gold built by groups of hardworking people who were steadfast in the idea of building the base of society. Also, a people stocked with melting pot cultures annually celebrates a multitude of holidays and celebrations. An abundance, culture can be found in Greece.

It is used in holidays, weddings, religious ceremonies, and festivals. To play music, they inspired two Greek instruments, such as the aulos and lyre. The aulos is a double pipe, double reed instrument used during the classical period. Also the lyre is a public string instrument. Even though written music remains seldom found , historians can infer that they used monophonic pattern, music consisting of a single line, without accompaniment. Then, after the fall of the Byzantine Empire,Greece was influenced by eastern sounds. From that moment on, Greece produced many talented artists, including great composers to fabulous interprets. Some famous artists include Maria Callas, Elena Paparizou, and Sakis Rouvas. The Greeks have 4 main music types, the Dimotiko, Kantada, Nisiotika, and the Rebetiko.
