William Shakespeare has easily become the most influential and famous author in the English literature. Even though he was only a writer for under a century, he managed to write thirty-eight plays, and even one hundred fifty-four sonnets. These acts reinvented the English language so much that his works are required to be studied in most schools, and all over the country and the world. William Shakespeare defined the English language to such a degree, even the simplest of his plays are recited and studied today.
