In America’s past events there are many moments in which were impactful to this country’s history. One of the most impactful eras would have to be World War II and the 1940s. The growth of technology through atomic bombs leaving an impact on America’s view in modern times for future events and political events such as GI Bill of Rights to help veterans with certain programs when they come home from a war that continues to be used today. As well as issues of race and gender were faced with women and African Americans working in which influenced the working environment today. The nation’s mobilization of resources during World War II would create an end for the era of the great depression. America entered the war after the Japanese had bombed a naval base in Hawaii called Pearl Harbor. During August 6, 1945, American planes had dropped atomic bombs that went over the city of Hiroshima, Japan. As of today, Hiroshima is currently has populated but radiation levels are still there. By using the atomic bomb, the atomic age began showing how the technology in America has evolved. These new technologies impacted America on the idea of bombs and evolve to make new ones. Although during the 1950s, they had the atomic age in which they would put atomic in everything and showed an ignorance of nuclear testing. As of now, America has educated itself to know the real dangers of nuclear testing is and by hiding under a desk would not help with the risk of lives. Currently, there is now a threat of a nuclear bomb in which is threatened several times by some countries to America. Leaving what happened with Pearl Harbor and the effects of bombs from the atomic bombs to be prepared as a nation for anything that might happen.
