K12 Aged Students Service and Support
Boy Scouts help k-12 aged students with disabilities live better lives. Special needs, in this case, refer to physical disabilities, attention deficit disorders, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and much more. Just as expected, boy scouts help k-12 students with disabilities by encouraging them, imparting them with leadership skills, giving them instructions and guidelines on how to deal with their disabilities, and making them disciplined. In the many troops, the leaders offer an example that they can emulate. They are also given leadership posts depending on their level of complexity of the disability. It makes them understand what is required of the people who are above them in power in various places.
K-12 aged students with disabilities are also offered guidelines and instructions on how to deal with their different special needs. Boy Scouts help these students see alternatives in the situations and know how to adapt to various environmental set ups. For example, when they go camping, they have to adjust to that set-up and be comfortable. As in a case of movement, the physically challenged k-12 aged students might be helped push their wheelchairs. Another function of the boy scouts organization is disciplining its members. By including k-12 aged students with special needs in their program, it helps them to be disciplined. Scouts are disciplined, in most scenarios, and so the students with special needs that work with them are no exception.
Teachers and those involved in the learning process of k-12 aged students with special needs can draw positives from what boy scouts are doing. They can apply what is done to help these students learn in a better way. They should involve them in their activities, aid them in their movements and encourage
