Since the discovery of fire our world’s technology has always been advancing forward at an astounding rate. Some of these advances have drastically changed how we live our lives and how we interact with our environments. The question is are all these advancements truly the right way to proceed. The hot topic right now is electric cars and how they impact the environment. In my opinion electric cars are the right way forward they just need to work on some of the behind the scenes technology to give it the final push forward. Well first of all would be their range as most electric cars only have a range maxing out at 100 miles although teslas can be anywhere from 220-300 miles. The fact that the range is comparably shorter besides teslas give a greater sense of range anxiety or fear that you’ll not be able to make it to your destination. Next would be charging while filling up your gas tank would only take a few minutes recharging an electric car can range anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours depending on the size of the battery and speed of the charging station. When it comes to charging most owners are going to want a home charger installed so they don’t have to be out for hours waiting for their car to charge. Having one of these chargers installed can be an expensive venture costing around average $500. Finally, while the cost of charging and day to day maintenance is comparably cheaper one considerably costly expense is the battery in electric cars.
