It changed the whole security of the world from airports to simple building security. An example of this is from the book “The 9/11 Effect” by Kent Roach. It says “Canada’s response to 9/11 was aimed in part at compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1373, but also at an American audience skeptical of Canada’s commitment to security. Canada drafted a new anti-terrorism law with an eye to American fears that it might provide a safe haven for terrorists.” (Roach Par. 362) As you can see, Canada drafted a whole new anti-terrorism law right after 9/11. Also, another example of the effect 9/11 had on world security is “Some immediate changes were, however, made by listing groups and individuals as terrorists under the United Nations Act. As in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, the Australian executive was able to respond more quickly to the terrorism financing mandate from the United Nations Security Council than the legislature.
