Before evaluating the arts, there must be a definition of arts and a purpose for its creation. The Arts is an expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form, it is a result of inspiration from the spiritual and ethical values. Spirituality refers to the measure of how willing we are to allow grace some power greater than ourselves to enter our lives and guide us along our way whereas ethics deal moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity. A person who has strength in both logic and creativity has always been praised as an enriched mind. Understanding art can bring about emotions and thoughts that can be both positive and harmful. It is easily understood, then, that these feelings can affect our decisions and actions in real life. The art can, therefore, become animate or alive, in a sense. The viewer causes a manifestation of the inanimate art from the paper or the stage or the canvas into a new and living creation. Art can be both dark and joyful. Art imitates life, and subsequently, life imitates art. The outcomes of these imitations can both be good and bad. One good effect from art is the simple emotion of joy that it can be brought about. Craftsmanship is completely neglected, all the more so because the modern technology: computers, video systems, photography, and means of telecommunication enables easy expression by just pressing the button. What comes into the front plan is the human being, its mental structure, suggestiveness, behavior, affecting the environment. New art forms are coming into being which are neglecting aesthetics and are approaching THE ETHICS.
