How Does Colonel Dax Show Bravery

After watching Paths of Glory, I found that Colonel Dax demonstrated bravery more than others within the film. Throughout the plot, it was clear to the audience that Dax exhibited bravery both on the battlefield as well as in court. For example, Dax was extremely daring during the Anthill attack. He lead the first wave of soldiers under heavy fire and encouraged his men to continue on with the use of a whistle. Next, Col. Dax remained loyal to his comrades by supporting them in court when three soldiers were under trial for "cowardice in front of the enemy.'' During the prosecution, Dax stood up for the three soldiers by aggressively protesting the charges made against the men. Therefore, Colonel Dax was comfortable with the concept
