In this story “The Most Dangerous Game,” by Richard Connell, Rainsford falls off a yacht and swims to Ship Trap Island. He then meets General Zarroff, only shortly after that he finds out that General Zarroff is hunting him. This story is full of suspence, suspence is a feeling of expectation, anxiousness, or curiosity that is created by a readers questions. Connell builds suspence from the beginning to the end of “The Most Dangerous Game”. One way Connell builds suspence is by the description of Ship-Trap Island. Ship-Trap is owned by General Zarroff.
