Her husband was very mad his name was Curley. So since Curley was disturbed about his wife he wanted to execute Lennie. The next moment Curley had a gang ready to find Lennie, but only George knew where he was at. In conclusion George goes to Lennie and him before anyone else can hurt him. There is debate whether George slaughtered Lennie with justification or not.
The death of Curley’s wife is a very shocking event which is what triggers George’s decision to shoot Lennie. She does nothing wrong and without noticing Lennie kills her; just how he killed the mouse and the puppy killed the puppy. Curley’s wife’s death is a tragedy and symbolizes Lennie’s untroubled life coming to an end. Even though Lennie is not a bad person after the death of Curley’s wife, we can no longer think of him as an innocent child-like person. George and Lennie’s life was about survival, but centred on the innocent dream of the rabbits.
Lennie had a fondness for soft things. This fondness lead him to the incidents of the mouse and ,later on, Curley 's wife. He never meant any harm to either of them. However, he was the cause of their deaths. Lennie was mentally handicapped.

In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck many hard decisions were made. In this novel two Characters George and Lennie get kicked out of their last city and travel to soledad to start their new life. Lennie causes lots of commotion at the ranch which turns people against George and Lennie. At the end of the novel George kills Lennie which raises the question if he fairly weighed all of the options and if his choice was justified or condemned. One reason why this was a justified decision is that George only wanted the best for his best friend.
During their conversation, Curley's’ wife tells him to touch her very soft hair, but she’s tells him to stop and he didn’t instead he puts his hand over her mouth from behind to stop her from screaming, accidentally he breaks her neck killing her. The decision has been made by George to kill Lennie because he was pressured when Curley and other were searching for Lennie and he wanted to kill Lennie
People today with mental disabilities are often criticized for not being “up to par” with everyone else in the world. This is true especially in the 1920’s, in which the novel Of Mice and Men takes place. Take Lennie Small for example, a large and hefty man, who has a mental disability. He, as a character, is blamed for the heinous act of murdering the antagonist’s wife, whose name is never revealed. It is true that Lennie does fracture her neck, but he does so without knowing.
Lennie just likes feeling soft things. The worst thing he has ever done was kill Curley’s wife. He didn’t mean to, he just wanted to feel her hair. When Lennie gets nervous, it gets even worse. Curley’s wife told him to let go and then started yelling at him.
Once Curley finds out about his wife's death he angerly promises the guys that he's going to kill Lennie, saying, "I'm gonna get him. I'm going for my shotgun. I'll kill the big son-of-a-bitch myself. I'll shoot 'im in the guts"(Steinbeck 96). If George wouldn't have stepped in, Curley was going to make sure Lennie died as painfully as possible for the death of his wife.
In this moment he seems unaffected by her death, he is more interested in killing Lennie. “ I’m gonna shoot that big bastard myself.” He expresses no emotion towards the women he is supposed to love; we see that even in death Curley remains disloyal to his wife. He treats her like a possession that Lennie has taken from him. Her name also suggests that she is seen as a possession and not a person.
Curley used this as an excuse to kill Lennie. He really wanted to kill Lennie because he destroyed his hand though. Curley said he was going to blow Lennie's guts out and make him suffer and be in pain. George prevented this by shooting Lennie in the back of the head and ending him quickly. George killed lennie because if he didn’t, Curley would have made him suffer.
When Lennie and George get a farm his punishment is not to tend any rabbits. One thing George lost hope to Lennie and killed him is when he was petting Curley 's wife 's hair. When Lennie was petting harder and harder to Curley 's wife 's head, it was hurting Curley 's wife, so Curley 's wife 's natural reaction is to scream. Lennie doesn 't want to get into more trouble because he already killed a puppy before touching Curley 's Wife and he doesn 't want to get into more trouble, he gripped Curley 's wife 's neck and accidentally twisted it, which caused the death of Curley 's wife. George had to kill him because if he doesn 't kill Lennie, Lennie could cause more deaths and
In this episode, Curley’s wife is having a conversation with Lennie about her American Dream of an actress in a desperate attempt to cure her loneliness. She also consolidates Lennie about the death of the puppy. Lennie confesses his desideratum to tend the rabbits because he simply likes to pet nice things. Curley’s wife then makes the big mistake of asking him to stroke her hair, and Lennie being Lennie goes too far, gets scared, and snaps Curley’s wife’s neck,”He shook her then, and he was angry with her… And then she was still, for Lennie had broken her neck.”
There are two reasons Curley wants to kill Lennie. The first reason is because he is a big guy, and Curley hates big guys. The second reason is because Lennie killed his wife. It states in “Of Mice and Men” that “Curley gon’ta wanta get ‘im lynched. Curley’ll get ‘im killed.”
