Humor is a literary device that makes audience or readers laugh. Humor is very important because it breaks monotony, boredom and arouses the interest of readers or audience. In the novel "A simple heart" by Gustave Flaubert (1821-1880). Felicite was a humble servant to Madame Aubain despite Madame Aubain being mean to her.
