In class we read the book 1984 by George Orwell. In part 2 of IB Language and Literature, we saw how George Orwell used Totalitarianism as a form of political awareness for his readers. I wanted to focused on how controlling a totalitarian government can be. With control comes lack of freedom and closure. This makes it hard or even impossible for people of the country to know what is going on or how to fix it. Therefore, I made a diary of a person who is “undercover” in Oceania from a different country. In the diary, my character James Brown, talked about how Oceania is incomparable to his country and the awareness of the political issue that he wanted to bring.
