How Does Golding Use Pig Hunts In Lord Of The Flies

The Beast Within A person can survive 3 weeks without food; however, only about 4 days without water.(pattern 1a) When people fear their survival and the forces they must not abandon necessities to suppress their fear. William Golding the author of, Lord of the Flies questions survival among children. The novel follows the path of survive among children ages 6 to 12 who have crash landed on a deserted island during war time. In the novel, Golding uses the pig hunts to symbolize how when fear replaces reason, violent actions become appropriate. The book starts with Golding establishing that the pig hunts are needed for means of survival,” ‘We'll get food," [cries] Jack. "Hunt. Catch things. Until they fetch us’ “ (22 PDF).
