Fictional Characters are often thought to only be the playmates of small children, however, often they impact the track of our entire lives. A few fictional characters that greatly shaped my life are, the simple boy with a lighting scar, the last and lonely time traveler from planet Gallifrey, and the adopted misfit brother of a god. Harry Potter is a series that impacted the lives of many children and still is read all over the world today and will be read for many generations. J.K Rowling’s children’s series has taught me more life lessons than anything else. Harry, a little boy who lived in the cupboard under the stairs, grew to be the man that saved his world. Bravery, loyalty, and love are just a few of the things Harry’s life taught me. I can be anything if I try, face anything if I am brave, keep wonderful friendships if I am Loyal, and do anything through the power of Love. Rowling and her Harry Potter are the only reason I pushed myself to graduate high school with my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, form the great friendships that I have, and desire to make an impact in this world that could better it forever. …show more content…
The Doctor once told a companion that every single person is important and that realization affected my life greatly. Due to the Doctor I have seem everyone around me as important. That is what led me to join Girl Scouts, volunteer at a nursing home, and become a camp counselor. If I didn’t do those things then other girls wouldn’t have learned during my leadership projects, the elderly wouldn’t have anyone to read to them or play a game with them, and my campers would have never been able to have the same camp experience.
