Twain expresses the likelihood of a child through Huck, because he barely has any gasp of true living. In a quote Twain once said , “ No child should be permitted to grow up without exercise for imagination. It enriches life for him. It makes things wonderful and beautiful.” Which really helps show why Twain put Huck in his novel , and in Huck's perspective. He uses Huck to express lying , Truthfulness , and creativity in a child. Huck shows how loyal he is to Jim by lying to the townspeople and to people he came across . For example Mrs. Judith , Huck knew she didn’t know him because she had just moved there , so he tried to get supplies for him and Jim by telling her a fake story. It was going perfect until she mentioned a runaway slave , Jim. She told Huck that her husband was out looking for the slave and said , “Well you’re innocent, ain’t you! Does Three Hundred dollars lay around every day for people to pick up? Some folks think the black fellow ain't far from here.
