The film Everest directed by Baltasar Kormakur is about the 1996 Everest tragedy. In the film, an important scene is beck survives. This scene shows Becks Weather’s fight for survival. Beck awakens from being unconscious overnight and he begins descending towards camp 4. The purpose of this scene is to show Beck’s survival. This is shown through the film techniques bird's eye view, close up, music and mid shot. The director uses the film technique bird's eye view to show Beck left alone on the mountain with no help nearby the glaring white snow surrounding him brings conspicuous attention to his dark clothing which kind of looks like a fly in a glass of milk. The odds of his survival seem to be against him this is because he was missing the necessities which would allow him to survive these are oxygen, food, warmth would be provided to him if he made it to camp 4. This scene draws the audience in and entices them because they want to know what outcome occurs if Beck survives or not.
