Our world is full of challenges, the novel teaches that although “while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly more contagious as laughter and good-humour”- p87. This quote is resonates with me very well, when I am having hard times, I love surrounding myself with the amazing people in my life, with these people, I feel more love and comfort than anytime, I forget all my problems and live in the present, being around positive, bright, people lightens up my world. I remember being on the beach watching the sunset with my family when I was younger, I felt this amazing feeling of peace and safety. Similar to Scrooge, I have had a transformed, I have developed a greater appreciation towards Christmas and experienced a change in my views and perspective on gain.
