The tale of “A Christmas Carol” is about an older man named Ebenezer Scrooge.He is a miser who loves money, but he hates Christmas! This play shows how he is stingy, spoiled, and wicked. In the end, he basically, sees that if he doesn't change his ways and be generous, charitable, and friendly he will be lying on his deathbed Christmas Day.

First and foremost, Ebenezer Scrooge was stingy. He was very greedy when it came to money. He was successful in his business. Scrooge was successful, but all he cared about is work and money. What caused Scrooge to change is when, the ghost of Christmas present had shown Ebenezer, Tiny Tim, and Cratchit’s family eating the goose with the overly crowded family. Scrooge had a bad life, however, that made him want to become rich. He absolutely loved money. For example, when the portly man asked for scrooge to donate some money for homeless people to eat and be warm, he said he wouldn’t donate anything. Suddenly, everything changed.
