Passion and sacrifice are a big hit in both stories and we can see them with similarities and differences. Romeo and Juliet were inseparable. They were together every second they had together. They were so desperate to be with each other that for them being apart it was so hard. In Just One Day when Allyson and Willem just met, they felt as if they’ve known each other since childhood. Romeo and Juliet both sacrificed their life. Every time they saw each other they sacrificed something. When Romeo killed Tybalt he had to leave because he was to die when he was seen. Romeo left and Juliet was so desperate that she wanted to kill herself. Romeo left and she was forced to marry Paris, she was ready to die rather than marry Paris. When Friar Laurence tells Juliet the plan she agrees. She sacrifices her life because after drinking the potion she may not wake up. In the end Romeo comes to Juliet and drinks the poison because he had no desire to live. After Romeo dies Juliet wakes up and kills herself to be with Romeo in peace. Their passion for each other took their lives. In Just one day Allyson sacrifices her trust with her mother. Willem says, “But you leave tomorrow,” he says.
