In the comparison of Susan Glaspell play, “Trifles” and her story “A Jury of Her Peers” uses atmosphere to spins a suspenseful plot cared out by a character in the both passages’ to make the main idea a mystery until the end. Glaspell uses death, mysteries, and deception to capture the atmosphere in both of Glaspell written. Death was used to explain how serious the situation was. Mystery was used to keep the plot unknown. Deception was used to manifest and indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid in the stories. The sheriff, county attorney, Hale could not find a single thing in their search for evidence. There was a gun in the house, but it was not used. It was consider as odd that there was not a motive be hide john wright death. The only thing that they could go by is what Mrs. Wright said. The Deception of Mrs. Wright was a surprise to both Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters when they put the pieces together. The bird cage, the quilt, and the series box were all part of the elaborate seam of Mrs. Wright killing her husband. The bird was the reason for all that transpire in the house. Mrs. Wright snap after the bird died. It cause her to kill her husband. In the end what happen was John killed the bird and his wife got mad and killed him one night in his sleep.
