Tim Burton was a famous director that makes famous movies. Tim Burton was influenced by Dr.Seuss,fairytales, and Edgar Allen Poe. His films are very colorful and playful and can also be dark. Tim Burton has unique and different ways of using cinematic techniques to create feeling from sound, camera movement, and camera angles.
Sound effects can be a big part of movies. In the movie Alice in The Wonderland we had sounds to show that there is suspense. For example when Alice was falling into the hole in the other wonderland, sound was added in and this builds tension and suspense in the audience. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton uses low angles to show how powerful and enormous something was. For example, in the beginning when we first saw Charlie's house there was a low angle on the city, the low angle shows how big and the way Charlie looks in the city. Also the low angles showed us how small Charlie's house was. When Willy Wonka first met the oompa loompas Low angles were used to show how small they were compared to Willy Wonka. Camera angles were also shown in alice and the wonderland. When alice first entered in the wonderland it was a low angles to show us everything in the wonderland. In Edwards scissorhands high angles were added. High angles were added when Peg went to the big dark house that Edwards was in it was a high angle,because it made peg small and seem powerless and weak compared to the dark big house. Also high angles were used when they had compared edwards huge dark house next to the quiet peaceful colorful neighborhood. Tim Burton used high/low angles to imply how something is weak or
