How does the author portray the challenges and growth of a character in one of the graphic novels you have read? The author Vera Brosgol shows in the book anya’s ghost how anya is growing up in all decisions of her life. In the beginning of the Book, Anya was thinking all the time about a boy, who had a girlfriend, then she met the ghost, when she fell in the hole. The ghost was always helping her in every decision in her life. One day in her school, she was mean to her friend and said that she doesn’t need her or any other friends. Then she went to the boy she liked and the ghost helped her to bring Anya with this boy to a party. She dressed for the party with a short skirt and a top. Later she went to the party with the boy she liked. At the party, some people talked to her and the boy she liked went upstairs. His girlfriend was upstairs too. Anya talked to her and found out that his girlfriend Elizabeth was very poor and the boy was in another room with other girls. So the Author Vera Brosgol shows many ways in her book, how Anya is growing up and makes some good decisions the older she gets. In Many Parts in The book, the Ghost Emily helps Anya with the decisions in her life, but sometimes the Ghost makes her life more difficult. In school exercises, the ghost can always give Anya the answers, but with boys and clothing she definitely brings Anya out of her comfort zone. In the end of the book, it comes out that the ghost is very mean and the ghost killed the boy, the ghost liked during the second world war.
