Recently, zombie related movies and TV shows have become very popular. Walking Dead had gained a huge following the last few years and even I started to find an interest in the series. I have a hard time watching zombie and horror related media but due to the fact that my family enjoys watching Walking Dead I have started to watch it. Of all the TV Shows I watch, I find Walking Dead the most worthwhile for society and myself. One thing I noticed after watching Walking Dead is how much a pay attention to things around me. Example, the other day while walking around downtown Mesa I found myself noticing places that would be relatable to zombies, like an abandon building or empty parking lots. Zombies are a fictional entity but Walking Dead has come up with the “what if” and many of the viewers can image how this is possible. As a view myself, it is hard to image this as fictional but what is to come. Maybe a negative aspect to it, and some audience might take the show too seriously. Besides the fictional part with the zombies, there is a realistic part, a questioning on humanity. Many of the cause of deaths in this series is caused by other humans and the greed people possess. The attack of the zombies has pushed people to doing horrible things to fellow humans, but in the end it is the fall of humanity that causes the worst problems. I believe that Walking Dead is a metaphor of mankind. For example, the current season of Walking Dead, is the fall of a gated community due to other humans. The community, Alexandria, can represent the pure, untouched person and the other humans, the wolves, can represent a negative person that comes into the pure person’s life and destroy the pure part of
