The process of economic globalization creates a significant impact on Canada, thus leading to the future for the Canadian economy. Firstly, globalization will further allow Canada to have opportunities that are unavailable without Globalization. Secondly, globalization will benefit Canada’s trade because of the widespread of products in the free market. Lastly, the process of globalization will result in a higher standard of living in Canada. Overall, globalization has a significant positive impact on Canada.

Globalization has opened up new and unimaginable jobs that would not be available without the free market, thus globalization has lead to job creation in Canada. Technological innovation is spreading as a result of globalization and new jobs surrounding technology has evidently been created for Canadians as a result of the process of globalization. Furthermore, globalization correlates to a reduction in unemployment in Canada. As the world was beginning to become globalized, Canada experienced a reduction in the unemployment rate, “The period was marked by high living standards and low unemployment rates.” (Azzi). During the 1970’s, this article describes how Canada increased in standard of living and most notably experienced a decrease in unemployment rates. International competitiveness and Globalization clearly reduced the unemployment rate, as stated earlier globalization creates more jobs, thus resulting to a reduction in the Canadian unemployment rate. Globalization allows for countries to experience greater freedom, the open market allows for more choices and opportunity which correlates to greater freedom for the individual. In the Road to Serfdom, it describes how globalization and less government involvement will evidently lead to greater freedom, “Wherever the barriers to the free exercise of human ingenuity were removed, man became rapidly able to satisfy ever-widening ranges of desire” (Hayek, 34). When certain barriers are removed, freedom is the result. Freedom is achieved through globalization to a certain extent.
