Northwest Football has impacted my life by teaching me many life lessons. It has given me many opportunities in life to succeed. As well as football, it has made me grow as a person. It has taught me that if I wait my time and put in the hard work, it will eventually pay off and I will find success. It has also taught me how to deal with adversity and handle myself in the face of that adversity. Northwest football has also given me great connections in life with great people who I know I can rely on in life when I need it. Through youth and middle school football, our team has always won more games than we lost and I never really knew what it was like to lose. It was a very humbling experience. It helped me to take my motivation and turn it into hard work. I used this to get better at every aspect of my game. I felt that I needed to help my team in any way because I never wanted to experience disappointment like that again. The year we went winless would be my first year being a full starter. I didn't get much playing time in youth and middle school. I played at a different position than what I had played before and it was a great learning experience. During my sophomore year, I had another position change, but it wasn’t like the one from before. Before it was a big change, this year it wasn't as difficult to overcome, although the position change had its tough spots. That same year we would improve our record, but we would still lose more than we would win. My sophomore year we only won three games, but it was an improvement from years prior.
