I have overcome many obstacles in my life. Recently, I endured a hardship in my life when my employer at the time, Radio Shack, began closing selected stores. My location was one if the few selected to close their doors. This impacted my life negatively in the following ways. This resulted in having to adapt to new circumstances by adopting a positive attitude. RadioShack was a beneficial job for me when I was enrolled in college. It provided me with a steady income while attending Chattanooga State Community college. After Radio Shack closed, I was unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. This resulted in me having no choice but to quit school because I couldn’t afford the travel expenses or the material I needed for my classes. However, I still had to approach this obstacle in an optimistic manner. I did this by demonstrating self-control, stamina, and good character (Harrington, 2012). While I was searching for new employment, I started reading potential interview questions. I strived to be confident and ready for all my interviews that I was applying for. Never the less, I stayed resilient on finding a stable job that offered benefits and would provide a sufficient income so I could continue my education. Once I had my first interview with Nissan I knew that this was an excellent opportunity.
