Today I am going to talk about how Shakespeare world is different than our world. There are so many different things that have changed since the 1600's such as language, theater and people in general. The 1600's was an amazing adventure back then and I bet everyone loved it. Queen Elizabeth was the queen of England in the 1600's. The queen of England loved plays and musicals. Shakespeare was created to express the life of two people who were deeply in love. "Shakespeare" is the most famous plays ever made in history.
Actors in the 1600's have changed a lot compared to our world. Back then, women were not allowed to be an actor or participate in any kind of play. So instead of having women on stage, men dressed up as women. In today's world, we allow women and men to be on stage. People thought the Shakespeare was a better poet than an actor or player. People used sophisticated and large words to express their feelings in the best way possible. The article "Shakespeare Elizabeth's England" says some everyday terms that were used in the 1600's. Some were "critic," "assassinate," "bump," "gloomy," "suspicious," "and hurry." Shakespeare also invented phrases which we use today such as "catching a cold", "the mind's eye", "elbow room", and even "pomp and circumstance." Some terms that we use today are ""Knock knock! Who's there?", or "You can't have too much of a good thing." Surprisingly, these terms are also used in Shakespeare.
