Home consoles have been updating throughout the years. Especially since the start of arcades in taverns, bars, and even old arcades. Then home consoles came around and since then games have been changing more from playability to immersiveness. From the Atari 2600 to the Wii, to the PS4, and to VR, here it is. One of the oldest home consoles that comes to mind is the Atari 2600. This system pretty much started home gaming consoles. During that period of time the Atari 2600 and other consoles used the "MOS Technology 6502". This was an 8-bit microprocessor which most home consoles used at the time. Ralph Baer in 2004 was awarded the national medal of technology because of his start to the industry of home gaming. Nolan Bushnell was inspired by the Magnavox Odyssey and created the company Atari. One of the first and most memorable games was Pong. It was created by Allan Alcorn under direction of Nolan Bushnell. The game became popular as the gaming cabinets were installed into businesses.
