The Greek goddess Artemis was the god of the moon, hunting, and childbirth. Firstly, she is presented as the Greek goddess of delivery due to her mother's nine-day labor of Hera’s curse to ensure that no woman will have to go through what Leto did. Secondly, she is presented as the Greek goddess of the hunt to teach a lesson about humbleness when killing for food. One of the many women he happened to “take an interest in” was Leto, daughter of the titan Coeus and Pheobe. As all women usually do, Leto falls for Zeus’s charm, and they have a brief relationship that ends with Zeus’s marriage to Hera, Queen of the gods, goddess of marriage, and the daughter of the titans Cronus and Rhea. After Zeus and Hera’s marriage, Leto finds out she is pregnant with Artemis and Apollo, which infuriates Hera.
