Captain America is a great example of how Beowulf acts in this short story. In order to be a good epic hero, you need to be strong, ethical, on a quest, and glorified. Captain America represents all of those things just like Beowulf. They have many differences but many of the same traits. I will compare the two and also contrast them. Let’s start with Beowulf. He is strong, he just picked up a big sword and sliced Grendal’s mom’s head off, after cutting Grendal’s arm off. Beowulf is ethical because, when he was a warrior he was willing to put his life on the line for the people that Grendal was killing. Even when he was king he was one of two people to fight the dragon. He went on three quests in the story. The first one was to kill Grendal. The second one was to kill Grendal’s mom. The third and final one was to fight the dragon with his servant. When he came back after defeating Grendal and his mom, he became king, so the people were happy and glorified him and let him become their king. …show more content…

Captain America is very strong, one moment in the movie Avengers Age of Ultron, Thor said if anybody can lift my hammer then you are worthy of being a god. Everybody tried then Captain America moved it, he did not pick it up but he did move it. In some of the movies he doesn’t agree with the some of the ideas that the other heroes have, which makes him very ethical. When Captain America goes on a quest or a mission, it’s all ways to save people from danger or destroy something, sometimes both.
