David Eldridge should be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the murder of Mr. Arms. Although the defense claims he is not guilty, he and Mr. Arms were the only ones who knew the code to the safe, they were also the only ones in the building at the time of the murder, and William Warden saw David Eldridge walk into the building before he heard Mr. Arms scream and saw his dead body. My first and strongest piece of evidence is that Mr. Arms was killed with a spatula that had David Eldridge's fingerprints on it. It has been proven that Mr. Arms' throat was slit with a metal spatula and that he bleed to death. Also, the spatula was next to Mr. Arms's body. My second reason why Mr. Eldridge is guilty is that there was no sign of a break-in, in the restaurant, and the only people who had keys to the restaurant were Mr. Arms and David Eldridge. Mr. Arms was the last one in the restaurant when William Warden saw David Eldridge walk into the restaurant. Then Mr Warden heard screams and when he went into the restaurant he found Mr. Arms's dead body. This proves that David Eldridge and Mr. Arms were the only two in the restaurant at the time of his death. This also shows why there were no signs of a break-in because David Eldridge didn’t need to break in because he could just use his key. All of this shows that David Eldridge was the only one who could have gone in without breaking in and that he and Mr. Arms were the only ones in the restaurant at the time of his death. My final reason why David Eldridge is guilty of murdering Mr. Arms is because Mr. Arms's safe was found open and only he and David Eldridge knew the combination. Mr. Arms' safe was found open and the only two people to know the code were David Eldridge and Mr.
